Okay, it’s subtle.
That is fall around here. I puttered around today and put some orange things on display and a special mister muscle man. I really just needed to dust, but you know how one thing leads to another.
I used to get really carried away with fall decorating. But anymore I like to keep it simple and not too over the top. I'm thinking it's just because that's where I am in life right now. We homeschool three kids, that's all there is to it. My husband used to say it looked like fall exploded in here. And judging by the amount of pumpkins and leaves and things crammed into the bins in the garage I think he was right.
But now it’s simple touches. Like a baby pumpkin.
And freshly dusted shelves, rearranged. The top shelf holds our special Uganda treasures, well the milk can is a Target treasure but the other items came straight from Uganda. We’ve never been there, yet. But Uganda and the little gal in the picture hold a special place in our hearts.
Of course, with fall comes a chance to put your feet up with a fresh cup and new magazine.
Yes, it's subtle but it's there.

I think subtle works well! I only have a few touches here and there when it comes to seasonal decorating. It's a whole other story when it comes to Christmas though...
ReplyDeleteBest wishes and happy weekend,
Natasha.
girl, i love subtle. you don't want a theme park in your house, right? it is all about the smells and little visions to get you in the mood. love it!
ReplyDeleteSimple is so lovely I think! I do need to work on being a little more simple in decor- I have a tendency to not know when to stop sometimes-
ReplyDeletelove that idea of crayons and dominoes!
