hello snow day

hello morning walk

hello inches and inches of fresh snow

hello bundled kiddos

hello quiet landscape

hello birdies, singing in the tree

hello romping dog

hello school delays and hot chocolate

and now the kids are in school after a two hour delay and we are just back from a run/walk/trudge through the canyon.  is there anything like the sound of fresh, untouched snow crunching and squeaking underneath your running shoes?  I think not.  it was wonderful and beautiful.

so, hello to a new snowy week (with more in the forecast).  and hello to the end of a month.  and hello to the gift an extra leap day on wednesday.
